Film Schedule

Bryony, James, Emma and I will begin filming on Tuesday the 5th of February. Emma will be supplying the camera and our scene is shot in Fetcham as i've shown a few pictures of the venue in a previous post. Bryony will be supplying the clothing so I can wear more dark clothing and Emma can appear vulnerable with her white ragged clothing.
We will film from approximately 2 o'clock till 3:30 o'clock. This gives plenty of time to get the perfect shots and scenes that we need then we shall go back to Bryony or Emma's as their closer to the location that we are filming, and shall edit the film till about 5 o'clock. We will get the most simple shots and angles out of the way first and then move on to the most complex angles. This will give us a good idea of the schedule and do the harder work at the end so if the worst comes to the worst and we run out of time (which hopefully won't happen) we can leave out some of the complex work and stick with the previous simple work as it may turn out more effective.

Tuesday 5th Feb:
Time: 12pm-3pm
Characters needed: Bryony will be filming, James will be editing and Emma and I shall be acting.
How long: 2 Hours approx

Make Up Effects

In our 2 minutes of our film, Emma will put some dramatic make up on to add to the suspense of the horror. We have been inspired by the film 'The Ring' as this is the sort of film to match our criteria and it looks very effective. We found a video clip which is a walkthrough of how to apply the make up what make up we should use.

The make up I will use won't be as durastic as Emma's, as my face is covered majority of the clip anyway. I will use dark make up but not much. Whereas the clip above shows what Emma will be applying to add effect to our film.
I did some analysis on 'The Ring' and have grasped a few good ideas from there, this is one of the ideas as I find the film very good when analysing effects and the storyline.

Cubase- Sound for filming

Bryony, James, Emma and I were thinking of using Cubase as it has a various amount of effects which can be used until we realised it was quite difficult to work and was very time consuming.
Instead, we have listened to other horror soundtracks for ideas and from this have attempted to put some ideas together from using some of these soundtracks and experimenting with what best suits our film. Cubase is a second option if all the plans of using these other ideas go to waste and if we only need to use individual notes and sounds then Cubase would be easier as it only requires a short amount of time. Only when trying to make a lot of sounds all together does it take a while to perfect.
Cubase is known as quite popular when in films, as it works better for some than others. It is quite a professional way to make sound and add them to your film or a scene. Getting to grips with Cubase can be quite difficult as trying to make the right sounds can be quite complex so some people tend to just stick to discovering sounds that match their film and genre.

More Location Analysis

This is in order of which the pathway leads, this is our main location to the first 2 minutes of our film and the setting you'll see from watching it.
Bryony will be recording from behind Emma who will be walking up the path and it will be from a central angle looking down, very similar to all the pictures shown.
We chose this location as it is quite alike to most horror film settings as not many people are found in this sort of rural area so it seems like people would be open to an attack. The trees and wilderness also make it more scary as it is quite a closed off area so if you were to be seen, you would probably be alone.
The idea of a pathway is good for horror because it means you can only go forward, or back the way you came. There are no different roots to take which makes the scene more scary for viewers.
